Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Engineering or Business Management (preferably in Industrial Engineering)
- 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in an FMCG/ manufacturing industry.
Job Description
Responsible for executing the purchases of company’s goods and services. The role involves supplier development, contract negotiations, achieving cost reductions targets, effective internal auditing processes, supplier management and knowledge of systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Implement category purchases based on annual need and long-term strategic sourcing targets and strategy.
· Monitor sourcing productivity / savings and improvement initiatives.
· Evaluate and recommend updates on sourcing strategy based on changing market conditions.
· Ensure compliance, In line with the procurement policy & practices.
· Assist in category negotiations and managing contracts with suppliers.
· Support company operational targets including control on DII targets and suppliers’ payment terms.
· Work together with related functions on executing the Capex plan on time.
· Gather continuous feedback from stakeholders on suppliers to assess performance and reflect in supplier score cards.
· Monitor suppliers’ delivery performance, suppliers’ quality, material variance to budget and cost improvement project
· Develop multiple sources for each item needed and encourage price bidding among vendors to achieve lowest price.
· Identify and qualify new suppliers as per the set policy.
· Issuance of purchase orders.
Skills
- Good understanding of manufacturing and quality principles where solid understanding of purchasing and supplier management principles is a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Skilled in negotiations, interpersonal and communication
- Strong communications skills both in English and Arabic
- Ability to work with different functions and with different backgrounds
