Quality Control Supervisor - Lab (Physio & Micro)

Responsible for the Physio-Micro and Microbiological laboratory activities to maintain and ensure that the product manufacturing complies with PepsiCo quality, food safety, and regulatory standards.

• Ensure laboratories are fully equipped and maintained to perform all required tests with the appropriate accuracy and frequency.
• Monitor, review, and approve all laboratory reports, and maintain responsibility for online process control.
• Implement and follow up on corrective and preventive actions in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Ensure safe operating conditions across all laboratory areas in line with company safety systems.
• Manage laboratory operations to ensure full compliance with GMP, company policies, and quality standards.
• Author, review, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control documentation.
• Control and maintain all quality records, reports, and forms in secure, controlled locations while ensuring confidentiality.
• Authorize the release of in-process materials and approve the final release of finished products from quarantine.
• Ensure production line cleanliness and adherence to housekeeping and hygiene standards.
• Stop any non-compliant operation and immediately report deviations to the QC Manager.
• Proactively recommend improvements to enhance quality systems and laboratory performance.
• Build, develop, and lead a competent laboratory team dedicated to safeguarding and continuously improving product quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues affecting productivity and implement corrective actions.
• Develop capability-building plans and training programs for laboratory personnel.
• Ensure continuous availability of materials, reagents, and tools required for QC laboratory operations.
• Lead and enforce implementation of safety rules in accordance with company systems and standards.
• Prepare and manage the annual QC laboratory budget.
• Manage annual service contracts for laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Define technical specifications and requirements for new laboratory equipment.
• Implement new product testing protocols and ensure compliance with PepsiCo (PI) specifications.
• Manage proficiency testing programs to consistently achieve satisfactory (“green”) results throughout the year.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams across different levels of responsibility.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a structured approach to issue resolution.
• Effective communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Sound knowledge of workplace safety regulations and practices.

Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering
